The interface consists of three parts:

1. The Menu (Mainmenu, Toolbars, statusbars)

2. The data panels, POIs and Route Path.

3. The map

1. The menu

The menu can be setup as desired by using the customize option, to be activated via the down arrow at the right position on the tool bars.
You remove, place action at any desired tool bar. In addition you can place toolbars at any side of the form, or even floating. Hence you can create your own toolbar if you want to.
All changes are persisted as the application is closed.
Changes are saved in the ThirdRails folder in the file Barmanager.xml, which is in the documents folder of the user.

Typically: C:\Users\You\Documents\ThirdRails\Barmanager.xml

If you don't like what you did, and are not able to get it proper again simply delete this file, and the menu is setup from design.

2. The data panels
The data panels can also be placed at any desired position. You can even hide them by clicking the X.
You can autohide them by clicking the Punaise button, they will minimize as a tab, and show when you hover them with the mouse.

To show the POI panel click View - Point-Of-Interest
To show the Route panel click View - Route Path

All changes are persisted as the application is closed.
Changes are saved in the ThirdRails folder in the file Dockmanager.xml, which is in the documents folder of the user.

Typically: C:\Users\You\Documents\ThirdRails\Dockmanager.xml

3. The map

You can toggle the visibility of the Map Control, which offers zoom, pan and location information by View - Map Control

This setting is saved on exit and can be set easily back with this option.

Always on top

In the Window menu you will find the option Always on top, which default is selected. When selected, TRM will place itself on top of TS, or any other program.
However TS must run in Borderless mode, which you can set via the settings in TS.

I you use, for example, a second screen you might want to turn this of.

Location and size of the app

The app can be positioned and sized according your own preferences. Under the Window menu you will find four presets:

Maximized Left (CTRL+SHIFT+L)

The app will use the current width, and use the max. height of the screen, and position itself on the left side of the screen.

Maximized Right (CTRL+SHIFT+R)

The app will use the current width, and use the max. height of the screen, and position itself on the right side of the screen.

Minimal (CTRL+SHIFT+M)

The app will shrink/grow to a minimal size, staying at the current position.

Normal (CTRL+SHIFT+N)

The app will shrink/grow to a normal size, staying at the current position.

The position and size are saved on exit.

Skins
TRM comes with 50 unique skins, from thematic to industry known skins like MS Office. This might seem trivial, but it gives you the possibility to change the look and feel towards your scenario, In other words while driving at night a dark skin can be more suitable then a white skin.

Anyway they are fun!
